Essaouira formerly known as Mogador, in Berber language, is 190 km from Marrakech.
In the heart of a dense forest of 600 hectares of Argan trees, protected by a natural sand dune, it is overlooking a 4 km beach on the Atlantic Ocean and it is the most active fishermen port in Morocco. Its Medina (old town) is a UNESCO World Heritage listed city.

Famous for its annual Gnaoua music Festival, that normally takes place in June, it is an attraction for millions of people and international artists. Essaouira is considered as the bohemian destination in Morocco and the most beautiful coastal city, with its white houses and brilliant blue windows.

During the nights, plenty of restaurants and venues are hosting every kind of live music: from African percussions to reggae, funky, jazz and rock music. Anyway, Essaouira is not only music. In fact, there are a lot of painters workshops, showing their unique naïf style paintings .

Its walls with big ramparts, powerful fortifications overlooking the Ocean and equipped with emblazoned guns (the Skala), the linearity and width of its main streets are very unusual for a Muslim city. The relaxing and mysterious atmosphere is unique all over Morocco.

Ourika Valley

At 40 km from Marrakech, Ourika Valley is at the foot of the High Atlas, between the big Moroccan mountains.
An extraordinary nature and an authentic lifestyle, typical of Berber people who preserved their old traditions and very old costumes.
Ourika river, one of the most beautiful river in Morocco, flows through the Valley and until the namesake falls.
Alongside the valley, on the riverbanks, plenty of small restaurants prepare typical meals and meant tea in the shade of poplar trees.

Ouzoud Falls

Ouzoud falls are the most important falls in North Africa.
At 170 km from Marrakech, they represent a haven of freshness, above all from spring to autumn when temperatures in the cities are sizzling.
The landscape is really impressive and the fresh air is amazing. The Ouzoud river falls for 110 mt into the canyon, creating three different waterfalls.
Thanks to its position, during the afternoon it is possible to see stunning rainbows at the foot of the canyon.
Just at the entrance of the falls it is possible to meet some Barbary apes living on the loose.

Zagoura desert

Zagoura desert is the desert of the Moroccan Sahara.
Zagoura is a beautiful village of about 30.000 inhabitants, at approximately 350 km. on the southeast of Marrakech, where the real Sahara desert begins and where the ancient Timbuctoo caravans were used to arrive before reaching Ouarzazate.
A unique opportunity to try the lifestyle of Berber people, living in a desert camp, riding a camel, sleeping under the stars, visiting Ait Ben Haddou Unesco World Heritage village, discover plenty of Hollywood movie sets and travelling through the Draa valley, alongside palm groves, Kasbahs and oasis.
